Jack Halstead was from Royston. In the First World War, he went to fight in France. During his time there he kept a diary. This video shares extracts from his diary along with sketches Jack made of his experiences.
Royston Museum calls for submissions of 2-D art to be sold in support of the Parish Church.
We are hosting an exhibit of donated work; with all works to be for sale, and all proceeds to benefit the rebuilding work of St John the Baptist. We invite local artists to create works based on the theme of the Royston Parish Church. Please bring them to the Museum by August 15th.
The Church suffered a drastic fire shortly before Christmas 2018, and is undergoing conservation and restoration. We’ll list all art for sale, and the Museum will waive its normal fees and commissions in favour of donating all proceeds to the Church rebuilding fund.
