Historical Crafterdays!

Selected Saturdays, 10.30am-12noon

Combining crafts and local history, this hands-on session is a fun way for families to delve into Royston’s past.

A fun chance for kids and their adults to get creative together and uncover local stories.

As well as crafts, there’ll be a trail around the museum and some ideas to take home to carry on the crafty fun.

Each session is just £3 per child (adults are free).

There’s no need to book, just drop in anytime and join in.

Adult Movement Class

Selected Mondays and Fridays, 11:45am-12:30noon.

Carrie Washington from BEEE Creative leads a dance and movement workshop for the over 50s. These fun, creative dance sessions are suitable for anyone with an interest in movement – all abilities are welcome and no previous experience necessary. Meet new people and keep fit and healthy.

Lino Printing Sessions

One Tuesday a month

10am-12:30noon or 2-4pm.

Liz Beardwell printing workshop using the original 1855 Crow printing press to produce your own unique lino cut prints.

Drawing Workshops

One Tuesday a month, 10:30am-11:30am.

Led by local artist Susan Sanders, Improve your drawing skills with expert tips and guidance. Draw wonderful objects from the Museum’s collections.

Knit and Natter

Every Thursday from 10:30am and Saturdays from 2-4pm (all ages welcome).

Enjoy knitting? Would love to learn? Come along to our informal group and get those needles clicking.

Both groups are free to join and refreshments are provided.

Toddler Music and Dance

Twice a month on selected Mondays and Fridays, 10:30-11:30am.

Carrie Washington from BEEE Creative leads a toddler music and dance workshop themed around the museum’s collections. Suitable for under 5’s accompanied by an adult carer. Each session is unique and combines music, movement and storytelling. These relaxed and fun mornings are very popular and places are limited so please do check availability in advance.

Bag a bargain book! Monthly book sale run by the Friends of Royston Museum to raise much needed funds for the museum.

We regularly take donations of second hand books, DVDs and records.  If you would like to donate some for our sale please contact us or call (01763) 242587.  

We are currently full for non-fiction books, but are still looking for donations of children’s books, as well as non-fiction.
