About the event

This autumn a group of walkers, the Strolling Mummers, are on a 500 mile modern-day pilgrimage from Penzance, Cornwall, to Hopton, Norfolk. Pilgrimage is an ancient tradition found in many cultures and faiths – a journey on foot with a purpose. Theirs is a pilgrmage for peace.

Along their route, the Strolling Mummers are performaning an ancient mummers’ play about St George. It's a lively folk performance, full of colourful characters, rhythm and rhyme, which has been passed down for centuries.

Join us for the free performance at the Museum on Saturday 18 October at 10:15am.
