Our Collections
With just under 20,000 objects in our Collection, the Museum celebrates and shares Royston’s heritage and stories; connecting people and places, past and present.
Research enquiries
We welcome enquiries from researchers wishing to access the stored collection for study purposes. As we are a small team, access may be restricted to specific days or take time to arrange.

Please email your research enquiry to curator@roystonmuseum.org.uk.
Donate an object
The majority of our collection has been collected by the Royston & District Local History Society, as well as through generous donations from members of the public.

We consider all items which are offered to us, however we are unfortunately unable to accept everything. We focus on adding new stories and objects of signifiance, whilst balancing this with collections care and storage considerations.

If you are considering donating an object to the Museum please email us at curator@roystonmuseum.org.uk.
Image Service
There are around 7000 photos of Royston and the surrounding area in our Collection. Our Image Service provides licensed access to Royston Museum's photographic archive, for commercial and non-commercial use, subject to our licensing agreement. We can also provide photographs of the objects in our Collection.

Please email image requests to hello@roystonmuseum.org.uk.
